IFL 2.92 was FAST

Post by mjnelson99 »

I decided to use IFL 292 from SD card to image my laptop.
It took about 10-11 minutes with B-F-B validation.
It took close to an hour using IFW 292.

Image was to the same USB 3 HD.

Mary,

What is the size of the image? Are both images the same size?
How much data is in the partition being backed up?
Did you use the same compression for IFW and IFL?

They were made 1 day apart on a 58 GB, 28 GB data mostly not MP4 or MP3
that are already compressed, with standard compression. I made no
changes in either program re defaults.

I was surprised myself.

Thanks Mary. That IFW time is extremely slow. Any chance you could repeat the IFW image?
