ERROR 94???

Post by jeffw_00 »

Hi - I have an i5 Win7 PC (White-box, by a local shop) that's about 5 months old. I've been running IFW on it every night - differentials 6 days/week and full the 7th. For the last 2 nights the differential has failed with "ERROR 94".

1) How do I find out what Error codes mean?
2) what does this one mean?
3) what do I do?

Thanks Very Much

/j

Have you looked in the log? (C:\Program Files (x86)\Image for Windows\V2\IFW.LOG)

Of course I did - the information didn't give me any clue as to the cause of the error. Doesn't TBI monitor this forum anymore? I mean - I just want to know what their error code means...

Based on that log, I'd guess it might mean "The image stream is corrupt", not that that's much help.

i 2nd the error definition request.
i got a similar problem, validation fail, with a diff error code,205, & had no luck doing a search.
would be nice to have a error code list with definitions at least.

that's what it is .. general corruption - could be in the base or even the
hash file if during backup - on validate probably the file created and it
tells you which file had the problem. So you'd follow
