restore MBR?
Re: restore MBR?
LBA-1 to LBA-62.
Re: restore MBR?
I already told you .
Here it is again from another source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Track0. Google is quite handy.
It is the first 63 sectors of a hard drive.

Re: restore MBR?
Hi Brian K,
so if i get you right, your are saying that:
Sektor0= MBR
Sektor 1-62= hidden track
Correct me if i'm wrong. So thinking about this. Since the disk only needs 1 Sektor for MBR+Partition and Disk signature the hidden track is theoretically unused Space? Have you seen what programs write there (maybe some form of installation information?)
@Dr. Teeth: I think you mixed up Track0 with hidden track.

Re: restore MBR?
That's been my definition. Track 0 minus LBA-0. BIBM uses sectors in Track 0 for the EMBR.
