Yes it does. It is a full Win8 OS. But I always turn off System Restore as I prefer to restore an image in times of need.

I often wonder why I keep system restore on. I do not image as often
as I feel I should and it is an extra safety net. It has often saved
the say when an auto loading infection is acquired and the AV
struggles to disinfect it.

The negatives I see for System Restore are it doesn't always work, it takes up space in the C: drive and makes for larger images and malware can hide in the System Restore folder. I can restore a Win8 image in 3 minutes (excluding validation) and I suspect System Restore would take longer.

Another main in the coffin is that defragging (which win 8,7, Vista
and XP do automatically, can also delete restore points).

Think will turn off SR for a while and see how it does.

OT: Does it bother you that IfW does not distinguish between diff and
incr backups in their automatic file naming?

Not at all as I don't use automatic file naming. If I did I'd add an "i" after the file name. I don't use incremental images anyway as I prefer diffs.

I just noticed IFL ver 2.80 supports 32-bit UEFI booting. I tried a flash drive in the Asus tablet but loading of IFL froze on this screen...

Booting "IFL (GUI) Network Boot Disk , best available graphics mode"
Loading vmlinuz...
Loading initrmfz...

My updated batch scripts distinguish between Diffs & Incrs in the file
name. :)

I believe that uses the Intel Atom processor, which isn't supported by the kernel on the IFL boot disk. Looks like it's freezing just as the kernel should be starting to run.

Same here due to the naming thing, but mainly because David was so
against them a while back.
