A mate visited yesterday and mentioned his differentials were much larger than mine. A full image is 22 GB and a diff done 5 minutes later is 13 GB. But this is only when he does the diff from a batch file. If he does the diff manually it is 100 MB.
He's been using IFW 2.77 for a few months and his diffs have always behaved the same. (Large from the batch file) We have identical computers and he's using my batch files. I've suggested he upgrade to 2.80 and he's going to email his log later today. Weird. What should I look for?

Re: Large differentials
just update, there were some older versions that backed up more than needed.

Re: Large differentials
Just as an FYI, I never saw that with a batch file with any version over many years, including 2.77.
It's tempting to blame what's in the batch file, but you say it's the same as yours, so.... Still, maybe you should post the command line in question.

Re: Large differentials
I'm still waiting for the log. Here is my diff command line...
start /min /wait imagew.exe /b /uy /base:w8ssd /f:diff /vb /comp:14
start /min /wait imagew.exe /b /uy /base:w8ssd /f:diff /vb /comp:14
Re: Large differentials
I've seen the logs and asked questions. The diffs relate to different base images. Forget this thread.
