Enhancement Request

Post by DrTeeth »

Would you please consider having the overall progress bar showing on
the icon of IfW under Win 7?

It would be very handy to see the progress of a backup without either
switching to IfW or moving my mouse over the icon.

Thanks.

What I mean is a green progress bar on the icon itself which other
programs display. It does not appear with IfW. If it appears with
(many) other programs and not IfW...

It would be nice to be able to create a log file on a device using the /f:d2@0x2E4:name.log structure.

I use IFD backup as a menu item on the BIBM menu. One click, and it backs up all of my partitions. I can write the backup files to a NTFS file system on a SATA disk, but the log file location is much more limiting.

Long-time user here. I would really appreciate some sort of audio indicator to let me know that the imaging/recovery process has completed. An example would be TeraCopy- there is an option to 'Play a sound when finished' so that when it completes a file transfer there is a little audio chime to indicate completion. Saves me a lot of time running back to the machine to see if it's done.

IFD GUI supports the completion alarm of BootIt Bare Metal if you use that.
Haven't added to the other products yet.
