The only way to restore in unlimited mode with something that doesn't
support the EMBR is to ensure the partition is created in BIBM and is in the
MBR and the tool you use to restore will not write outside that target
partition you tell it to restore to.

Otherwise, for making your copies, just use copy in BIBM (presuming it's
individually bootable).

booting from Extended partitions for some windows versions requires hiding
all primaries and any volumes prior to the one being booted. But primaries
is better.

Thanks a lot for all your help guys,

What I ended up doing is enabling unlimited primaries, and after restoring an image on a certain partition, I copied the partition with BIBM's copy feature in "Work with partitions", like suggested.
