Hi -
I want to use IFL to convert a Windows 7 system from a hard disk to a Crucial M4 SSD. It is my understanding that when copying/restoring Windows 7 partitions that they should be converted with 4K alignment. For example, the Crucial supplied EZ Gig IV Cloning Software instructions specify that when converting a Windows 7 config to check the Advanced 4K Alignment option. (Not enthusiastic about using EZ Gig, since it always ends with an error!)
The only IFL parameter that I can find is 2K alignment.
How should I use IFL to copy/restore my fixed disk to a SSD using IFL?
Note: space is not a problem - the M4 is slightly larger that my fixed disk.
Thanks

Re: Convert to SSD
Enable the global option for 2048 sector alignment then do a normal entire
drive restore with the options scale to fit, update boot partition, and
aligned restored enabled.
