I'm unable to install the v5.00 (notwithstanding that my antivirus has routinely flagged 4.20 as well). Here's the specific warning I get, which is different from the 'every day' warnings I get about IFW. The minute I unzip the file, I get this:

"The file F:\Downloads\IFW_Backup_Scripts_5.00\IFW_Backup_Install_From\IRepl.bat has been detected as infected with Heur.BZC.ONG.Cheetah.4.6905BE2F and Bitdefender could not clean this item. A device restart is required to finalize the cleaning process."

The 'every day' warnings I get each time my AV (BitDefender) does a full system scan, and for 4.20 it reports:

"The file \Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy12\Program Files\IFW_Backup\IFW_Backup.cmd is infected with Generic.BAT.Downloader.C.146E340E. Bitdefender blocked this item, your device is safe."

This seems to be related to my backup software, which uses VSS (IDrive).

The more meaningful issue is that if I overrride and force it to unquarantine, eventually I just get more warnings for, say "HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy13" or some such, which I fear will be the case if I ever get v5.00 installed.

Well, good news at least on the install - I added an exception for that install path, and was able to successfully update to v5.00. Next time my backup software runs, we'll see if it 'barks' at me about it again.

Yes, the antivirus companies have become very aggressive recently. It is going to become impossible for individuals to release software for other users the way things are going.

Rest assured that my scripts are not malicious in any way.

No doubts about lack of maliciousness, of course. Just weird that the scripts get scooped up in the net, and with such very specific and peculiar names. I'll give a try asking BitDefender to whitelist the files...

For your information, IRepl.bat Is only used by IFW_Backup_Installer.cmd when setting up or changing the shortcuts. It is not used at any other time by any other scripts.
