ability to recover data from an aborted restore

Post by chris789 »

I tried restoring data to a bad SSD drive. The restore copied approx. 4gigs of data out of 500gigs before aborting, I'm sending the drive back to have it replaced. Can someone recover that 4gigs of data or since the restore didn't complete they wouldn't be able to. I'm unable to mount the drive so can't format/write zeros to the drive.

Thanks,
Chris

They can read the raw sectors and potentially recovery some, wipe it is the best you can do, the good parts would go quick the bad could take a very long time to get past.
