How to copy osdtool.tbs to already-installed BIBM?

Post by ohaya1000 »

Hi,

In an earlier thread, Brian K had mentioned running osdtool.tbs from inside BIBM, but when I tried it while booted into the BIBM I had already installed, there was no osdtool.tbs, but he couldn't remember how he had gotten the file deployed to his BIBM, so I am wondering: How can I get the osdtool.tbs file copied to the BIBM that I already have installed?

I have the OSD tools installed to one of the Windows partitions, and in that Windows, I can see the osdtool.tbs file, but not sure how I can get that file copied into the BIBM.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

In BIBM, Run, tbexplo.tbs

You can copy osdtool.tbs to the BootIt folder. This is the C: drive in BIBM.

Hi,

Cool!

To expand:

- In BIBM run tbexplo.tbs
- Select mount
- Mount the Windows partition that has OSDTools installed
- "Browse" to the Windows dir where the OSD was previously installed and move cursor to the osdtool.tbs file
- Ctrl-C (to copy the osdtool.tbs file)
- "Browse" back to the BIBM partition
- Ctrl-V (to paste the osdtool.tbs file)
- exit

At this point, if, in BIBM I do run again, and type "run osdtool.tbs", it starts the OSDtool similar to how it worked earlier when I did that IN Windows!

Thanks again,
Jim

Or you can click the Run icon and select osdtool.tbs.

copy over the tbosdtw.exe as well - it's needed for installing drivers - which is why BIBM doesn't include osdtool.tbs by default.
