change efi for 2nd OS

After creating Microsoft.002 dir and copying contents of Microsoft.001 to it, how do you change MS.002 to boot the 2nd OS, since it is a copy of MS.001 and therefore points to OS1? BCD edit I assume will see MS.001. How do you do a BCD edit on the MS.002 dir? How do you switch?

Don't assume. Use BCD Edit on the EFI System partition and choose the .002 version to change the OSDevice and Device entries.

That is my question, how do I choose the .002? I see no option .001 vs .002. BCD Edit looks the same as before the addition.

it will ask which one to edit. Presume there is no just plain Microsoft folder.

What is the difference between a plain Microsoft folder and one that works?
I added a folder in "script" named Microsoft2, not .002, since the original MS folder was Microsoft, not Microsoft.001. Is this the problem?

A suggestion, make this more specific if it is not already. I do not remember seeing this.

What are the requirements or restrictions on naming the additional "Microsoft" directories?
Would "Microsoft002" or "Microsoft.02" or "Microsoft.2" or "MS.002" work?

Curious as to my original directory was "Microsoft", not "Microsoft.001". Is this normal?

You want to enable the option to have BIU manage it for you. If you're going to create additional items manually that you want to work like the program manages it, ensure you use the same way. You keep the same directory name and add .001, .002, etc.. Your boot item also has the rename item enabled.
