What to expect after SATA port reallocation to drives

Post by sigi »

My BING freezes in Maintenance Mode when booting from Hard Disk. This has not always been so.

My present port allocation (which may have been changed by a computer repair shop some time ago) is as follows:

Port-00: No device
Port-01: CDROM (CDDVDW)
Port-02: CDROM (DVD-ROM)
Port-03: Hard Disk (HD-0)
Port-04: Hard Disk (HD-1)
Port-05: No device

I would like to change the connection of disks to SATA ports for test purposes e.g. connecting the Hard Disks to ports 00 and 01.

Is it worth trying? Which negative consequences could ensue?

What do you mean by that? Would this setting enable free testing without negative consequences like Win7 Disk Repair?

I mean go in to settings in BING and remove the checkmark from those options
to see if it fixes your problem. They only apply to CD support for imaging.

I'm not sure what you mean here. In the Work with Partitions Bus, BIOS (direct) disappears when I try this.

It's a BING setting.
