I thought so too, but after selecting Restore, then highlighting the backup image, there are no Settings or Restore Options. I'm never given those settings to choose. Either with Simple Operations turned on, or offBob Coleman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 10:52 pmYou should see those in a list of Restore Options after selecting the source and target and confirming the existing partitions to be deleted.fairlane32 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 10:40 pm
I don't see any of these options within the IFW Settings screens? Where am I looking? I see Resize with Caching listed but not Scale to Fit, Remove Gaps or Compact Data.

Re: Destination Drive too small?
when i turn off Simple operations, and click Restore, then Next, I'm presented with either Automatic or Normal restore type. In either case when i get to the select the destination to restore to i'm presented with the choices of either the IFW flash drive (not a good place) or my WD MyPassport external hard drive (where the IFW .tbi backup is) I'm not being shown the NVMe of the Dell that I'm trying to get this image file to.
I'd post pictures but they way exceed the maximum 256KiB limit of the forums.

Is that on a TBWinPE/RE boot disk?

Great idea. Put them on a web site and post a link.fairlane32 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:12 pm I'd post pictures but they way exceed the maximum 256KiB limit of the forums.

Sounds like your boot disk doesn't have NVMe drivers.fairlane32 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:12 pm I'm not being shown the NVMe of the Dell that I'm trying to get this image file to.
Try an IFL boot disk. Or this...

Re: Destination Drive too small?
Ahhh, I've come across instances of this with NVMe drivers and other cloning tools like Ghost. IFW usually has had no problems in this regard but i'm guessing since this is a brand new Dell? Intel Core i7 9th generation, and an NVMe drive. In the past though the solution was to keep Windows Boot Manager enabled and Secure Boot on when cloning, and IFW never let me down. I will try to create a boot disk using IFL (image for linux I presume) and see where that gets me. Otherwise I'll have to install all of this person's data and programs manually.Brian K wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:22 pmSounds like your boot disk doesn't have NVMe drivers.fairlane32 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:12 pm I'm not being shown the NVMe of the Dell that I'm trying to get this image file to.

It's what I get for not buying a bigger drive size to make sure there's enough space.
Re: Destination Drive too small?
Making a UEFI boot disk is another option.
