IFL 3.39. This has happened in all the recent boots in a laptop.
After the “small letters” screens, just before the IFL interface appears, the screen freezes with a small “X” in the center. No message or error code.
The only solution is to reboot. In the reboot, the screen with the small “X” flashes briefly (sometimes twice), but the interface appears and can be used normally.
This had never happened before. Inconvenient, I´d appreciate a solution.

Re: IFL boot freezes with an ?X?
Sounds like X not starting fully, ctrl-alt-backspace exits it, or can
still open alternate sessions via the Alt-F1, etc..
