Can makedisk.exe remember my user name/license key?

Post by SuffolkPunch »

I use makedisk.exe in Windows 7 to create a bootable USB stick for IfL.

Each time I install the latest version of IfL, I have to re-enter my IfL and BootIt Bare Metal name/license key. Can these be remembered for me - perhaps by editing makedisk.cfg?

Are you using the current version of IFL? MakeDisk has a "Save selections for next time" option on the first screen to remember the settings (including the license).

Thanks - I didn't notice that!

I download each IfL zip file to a separate folder per version. For example: version 3.39 is held in folder
image-for-linux/IfL gui v3.39/ifl_en_gui .

Will the saved settings be available in each new folder?

That's good. Thanks again.

Out of interest: where does makedisk.exe store the settings?
