USB External Not Recognized IFD and BootIt

Post by DELTA624826 »

I have read the KB on USB's. I have tried every combination of switches (and plug in before/after) imaginable.
Both IFD and BooIt do not see the USB external. The basic, "The light on the drive never illuminates!".

ALL my machines are LEGACY. Both desktops and laptops. The Linux version does work well.
I am reasonably versed in small computers.

Is there anyone :ugeek: who can make (V3.3) IFD and BootIt perform as advertised?

If USB legacy support for disk drives is enabled / supported in the
BIOS, the BIOS will make it show as a normal BIOS drive.

If you're using the USB bus option, it will show if USB2 device and USB2
(EHCI) controller and USB 1 (UHIC, not OHCI) with USB 1 device. They
won't show anything on a USB3 (XHCI) controller, use the BIOS support
instead.
