IFW problem

Post by AlanD »

I have a self-inflicted problem with my MacBook Pro with Bootcamp
partition (Windows 7).

I recently created a second Windows partition to store music files, by
first shrinking C: partition and then creating a non-bootable second
partition.

That worked fine but I managed to destroy the ability to boot into
the MAC partition.

I took the computer to a MAC specialist who reformatted and partitioned
the drive and reinstalled the Apple OS.

I then proceeded to restore from a "full drive" image made in IFW.

Can't do that apparently because I am sort of back where I started -
cannot find Apple OS in the boot manager (again).

I say sort of, because in windows disk management I can still see the
Apple partition, so I guess I may have converted the GPT boot files to MBR.

Sorry about the long story, but if there is a fix (without destroying my
Windows OS again), then I would surely like to know how to do it.

Thanks for any help

I actually did that right. I did select GPT ignored by OS
