Cannot see an NVMe0 SAMSUNG SSD

Post by Fabvit »

Hi,
I have booted from IFW usb key (created with IFW 3.16).

It is a Lenovo X270 Notebook with an NVMe0 Samsung MZVLW256HEHP SSD.

It seems to me that IFW is unable to see that NVMe drive.

Do I need to include some drive during the creation of an IFW USB boot key?

You most likely need the NVME driver added.

Fabvit,

Did you make the TBWinPE/RE boot disk in the Lenovo X270 Notebook? Or another computer? Making the boot disk in the Lenovo Notebook should add the correct drivers.

Is the SATA Mode in the firmware AHCI or RAID?

It may have the drivers on that system if WinRE included them. Most times the original, which may have included the drivers, is replaced with a generic version when Windows is updated. In other cases, a system with a newer Windows version may include the drivers.

Otherwise, as already suggested, you would need to add the drivers to the TBWinRE/PE build.
