can not get data off a mounted image?

can not get data off a mounted image?

Hi All,
I am on windows 10 my account is admin
I am have trouble mounting a image as a drive letter
it mounted as drive Z:
when I try to access something i get access denied and it takes me to the image i posted

how do i fix this

How are you mounting the image?

if it's from a different system, you need to change permissions (mounted
image still uses Windows security, TBIMount doesn't). You'd want to mount
with write simulation enabled (through the tbimount.exe) then you can change
ownership and permissions.

Hi Bob,
I found the image then did right click and did mount as drive letter

Hi it is from the same system I had to reinstall window so i was just going back to get data
so i have to change it from system?

I didn't even know that could be done. I always use TBIMount, part of TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite though somewhat hidden because you get it by choosing to install TBIView.

if you reinstalled then it's like a new windows so you'll have to change
permissions as explained before.
