Email send failure 3

Hi,
I find IFW no longer sends emails after completing a backup. I get this common message in the logs for my different jobs: "Email send failure 3 - Socket Error 0x2749". The strange thing is when I use the GUI to send a test email everything works fine. I did recently upgrade from IFW 2.97 to IFW 3.11, however emails did work for a time after the upgrade. I am running Windows 7 x64 patched up to the latest from Microsoft.

Any ideas/questions are welcome.

windows socket error is:

Socket is not connected.

make sure all settings correct and that not being blocked by firewall.

Like I said in the original post, this was working, and the test email can be sent from the gui. No changes have been made to this machine other than Windows patches. All other programs/apps continue to work as expected. I understand the error points to something network related, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it would be. Finally, the firewall is NOT running on this machine. The machine has also been scanned by two different apps for malware and viruses.

Any other ideas or ways I can debug via IFW?

For what it is worth, and just in case others have issues like I am having, I still have not been able to correct whatever the issue is relating to sending an email after the backup is complete. I have setup traces, logs, everything I can think of and to no avail. I finally decided to write a script to parse the IFW log file, then send an email via the "sendEmail" command line tools.
