I have been running Money as Admin since Jan. No lrd file for the most part.
Earlier today, it was back again. Several opens & closes and it was
happening every time.
I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. LRD.
Ran it again a bit later, no LRD!
Hopefully it is gone although it is not that hard to delete the file.

Feel free to use my MoneyCheck program to tidy up the .lrd files (see the
'win 10 thread for the download link).

Re: LRD file in MS Money
Tom,
I downloaded the file. Not sure what to do after I start executing it,
though.
Is it the lrd file I want to find or my own Money files?
Thanks

Mary,
I know you were having doubts about continuing with Quicken, (and so was
I), but I have been using 2017 version since last August with zero
issues, and I use it every day for seven different accounts (4 different
types).
The apparent changes from my last version (2014) are miniscule.
This is my 25th consecutive year of using Quicken.

Re: LRD file in MS Money
I got Quicken 2016 and it was IMPOSSIBLE to register the program. It
would not go to do that at all. I got a refund and have not used it since.
I backup Money with Account Express. I do need to watch for duplicate
transactions on the items I put in monthly.
I will use Money until it will not load at all.

Re: LRD file in MS Money
You tell MoneyCheck the locations of your money file(s), which it will
remember. It then runs quietly in the background waiting for you to start
Money sometime. Then use Money at a later time. When you eventually close
Money it will make sure Money is removed from memory, and will remove any
..lrd files that are hanging around.
You can leave MoneyCheck running in the background permanently. If you
right-click on the 'h' icon in the system tray you can set it to autoload
when you start the computer, and there is also a link to let you update the
location of your Money files (=location of the .lrd files).
Cheers
