How to install Windows 10 from USB (with BING)

Hi,

I see that the BING forum is closed now, but I have an older laptop that has BING on it and Windows 7, and I want to install a Windows 10 also, from USB.

I created the USB with Windows 10 installer on it, using MS Media creator, and in BING, I created a partition for Win10. Then, I created a boot item for Win10, and I boot to that, and then do Ctrl-alt-del, but when the machine reboots, it seems to be trying to boot from the network instead of the USB.

So I was wondering if anyone still knows how to do this?

Thanks,
Jim

After you do the boot attempt (or simulated boot) to the new Windows 10 menu item to make the partition active, you may need to specifically boot the UFD from the BIOS boot menu or put it first in the boot order. Basically, the same as if you were trying to boot any UFD.

Have you verified the UFD boots properly on another legacy BIOS system?
