Mouse sensitivity in IFD (Gui)

Post by rseiler »

Is there some means, maybe via the INI, of increasing the mouse speed in this? I suppose lowering the resolution would help, though maybe not, but I tested 1024x768 and you have to move the mouse a lot for very little travel on screen. Whatever the sensitivity level is, it's on the absolute bottom. I tested this with an IntelliMouse Explorer.

Try the cheapest USB mouse you can borrow.

Why would a cheaper USB mouse be any different?

I've used this particular mouse in lots of bootable applications and have never seen anything like this.

I have problems with a Microsoft Comfort mouse in IFL. Other mouse are fine. Worth trying.

AIUI, IfD uses the BIOS for disk access and could very well use the
BIOS for the mouse too. Modern BIOSs are not well written these days
as most/all modern OSs control the hardware directly - all a modern
BIOS has to do is boot the PC. USB mice are not created equally. The
thing about a cheaper mouse is that if you buy it, you don't care if
it does not work LOL. IfL does not use the BIOS for disk access and
that may be the case with mice too.

Sorry, but what is a 'bootable application'? I do not understand what
you mean. This is an honest question and I am not being sarcastic.
