Access denied copying IFD images with Windows 7

Post by rustleg »

I have imaged the Windows C drive partition using IFW and later with IFD on an NTFS partition. However when I try to copy the files (limited to 4GB each) to my USB backup drive (formatted FAT32) the files created with IFW copy ok but the files created with IFD don't.

I am using the free version of Syncback to do the copy and get the following error messages:
SYSIMG\blap208.TBI Failed to copy source: Cannot copy file (5): Access is denied

The Syncback help
http://www.2brightsparks.com/help/index ... rticle=205
mentions NTFS security permissions (and also network shares - not sure if this is relevant to copying via a USB port).

What is different between these two versions of the TBI files and what do I need to change?

change the permissions on the files. right click, security. you may have
to change owner first, click advanced, owner.
