Restoring drive to bigger drive

Sometime in the near future I need to replace my primary drive with a bigger one. It has three partitions: system, windows and recovery.

What is the correct way to restore the drive and keep the system and recovery partitions the same size and extend the windows partition which is in the middle of the drive.

I usually backup the entire drive all at once so the one .tbi file will have all three partitions in it.

TIA for your help.

Ken,

It's quite easy. In IFW Settings (or IFL, IFD if you will be using these for the restore), make sure there is a tick in Automatic Scaling Restrictions. See page 41 in the IFW manual to see what this does.
Then just restore your Entire Drive image to the empty new bigger drive.

You would also need to use the "Scale to Fit" option for the restore.

Brian and Paul, replaced the drive in question this weekend and the options you both told me to look out for worked perfectly. The biggest problem I had was getting the bottom cover off the laptop without damaging anything.
