TBWinPE backup veracrypt drive problem [SOLVED]

Post by YesAndNo »

Hello,
Just changed a drive to SSD.
Backing up using IFW Backup scripts by Tom Cole under TBWinPE.

Half of drive has a veracrypt partition.
Rest of drive unformatted at the moment.
Encrypted partition cannot be compressed but don't want to back up ~400 GB unformatted space uncompressed every time.
Tried backing up just encrypted partition but drive parameters different under TBWinPE than on system. d:w1@0x1 on system was d:w0@0x1 under TBWinPE.
Prefer using device ID in script like: "set par0=/d:#0x74AD2307" which always works flawlessly.

Question is, how to avoid backing up the ~400 GB of unpartitioned space.

Many thanks.

If you only want the one partition then specify it after the signature (e.g. /d:#0x74AD2307@0x1).

Note that if you enable the "Show Save for TBWinPE On Summary" IFW option that you can see those by clicking the "Save for TBWinPE" button on the Summary step.
