File Security/Permissions

I usually create an image with IFL on a USB drive. Today while I was going through some old files, all of them had to have their security settings changed to allow me to open them. Is there a setting in IFL that does not set the security such that I have to manually enable Read access? It took a while to do all of them. I used "Inheritance", but that may not be the best way although it works.

Reformatting the drive in Windows is sometimes helpful, though may not be something that can be done easily.

If it's something you see often you could create a script to take ownership and set permissions. There's an example in this KB article:
