Validate fail when creating boot disk for IFL or IFU

Post by JerryC »

I've installed the latest Backup and Restore Suit on Windows 10, GUI version.
I have bought the special bundle, so I introduced the codes for both Image and BooIt suite when prompted during install.
Now when I try to create a boot disk on USB Flash for IFU, there is an error when validating UEFIBOOT.DAT.
Same thing with IFL: error validating initrmfs.gz.

Should I keep using the trial version in the meantime?

Sounds like something is corrupted either in the download, or bad memory
in the system, or something altering things.

Run something like memtest86+ on the system at least one pass, then
chkdsk /f the drives, delete the download and clear browser cache,
download again.

Also try a different UFD or USB port

Well, I tried another UFD and it works now.
Weird, I swear that I installed the IFL trial version on it and now won't let me: same error.
