Newbie questions

Post by Larrycleve »

I did a test backup and validate with the trial version and it went great. It was quite fast and it completed successfully. I checked the log afterward and it showed the backup and validation of several partitions. It also said error code 0 which I assume means the backup images are fine. If there was an error in the backup what would be an example of what the log would show? The backup was of several partitions into its own image file. What would be an example of changing the default image names so the image files would be named C, D, etc. corresponding to the partition. Thanks

The error code wouldn't be zero and there be some error message in there.

Not sure why you'd want to backup the partitions individually, nowadays it's
typically best to do entire drive unless you know exactly what you're doing.

File Path Variables is what to search in the manual. You'll find $~PDL$
