New PC BIOS advice

Post by DrTeeth »

I hope to soon retire this first gen Intel i7 860.

It is important that both my mouse and keyboard work 100%.
I will be designing my computer, but having it built by the supplier
as that the whole computer, rather than just the parts, are covered by
UK consumer law.

1) Which MB maker has the best BIOS and is more likely to repair it.

2) I plan to have the BIOS set up so that the secure boot is not
active and that the BIOS is set up for MBR disks so I can just fit my
disks and be good to go.

I would MUCH prefer not to buy Asus. I have one of their tablets and
they said we would get Android 8. We are still stuck at 7.0 and are
not even getting security updates.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think anything is wrong with the ASUS anymore. I dont get any issues with my ASUS BIOS. I would rather say GIGABYTE has the worst BIOS. But if you prefer to not have ASUS then go for MSI its the only other good option.
