re: Image for Windows Suite 3.21

Updated my backup suite from 3.05 to 3.21. Did full backup images with IFL 3.21 'completed successfully'. TBIMount 1.18 (x64) returns error on those images ''drive 'z' sector not accessible'. This behavior is same on images targeted to two USB backup drives. However, I can mount any image take with suite 3.05 with TBIMount 1.18. Wondering what might be the issue. Shall try again. :?:

Update: On next try with Suite 3.21, even validate is successful, as is TBIView. Only TBIMount is failing with the same error.

The exact error with TBIMount 1.18 (latest version?, it was in the Suite 3.21 download) is attached. I am able to access the image all the way to the point of the 'mount' button after which the error pops up with an empty Z: drive. TBIView works fine to view/copy files; even image full Restore works fine. Issue here is with TBIMount and Suite 3.21 combination.

This is on Windows 10, 1709

As I noted, TBIMount works fine on 3.05 images. :?:

perhaps the file system is dirty and you need to mount with write support.
Use the UI and open that way with the simulated writes option enabled. Also
in the list, ensure the file system is supported by Windows. And the
profile you're using has access to the file.

Nothing has changed in the file system, and all file systems are Windows supported. TBIMount works OK with all pre 3.21 image files, so shouldn't be a permission issue. I always use the GUI. I tried the simulated write option but got the same error. I am creating the 3.21 images with all default settings and always do full backup images. The only failure is with 3.21 images, and only with TBIMount 1.18 (32 or x64). TBIView, and Restores and even Validate works fine.

I just uninstalled Suite 3.21 completely, then installed the newly releases update Suite 3.22, and now TBIMount works fine on 3.21 images. Sort of strange,...something in drivers must have changed in 3.22.

But...all good now ...so far.
