My 3.18 ifl DVD (nonet, with BIBM 1.48) fails at the first step with the above error. Just a bad disc I thought, so downloaded ifl 3.20 and BIBM 1.50 and burnt a new one. Custom setup so I can get rid of basic operation and add BIBM. DVD creation and validation reports OK from Makedisk.
Exactly the same failure. Strangely, if I create a bootable USB stick using exactly the same steps, that boots up fine and works.
MoBo is Asus P8Z77-V PRO.
Thought this must be a FAQ but I couldn't find anything.
What am I missing?
TIA
Mark

Re: ifl dvd fails /vmlinux has an invalid signature
Solution was to go into the BIOS and switch off UEFI Windows Secure boot.
As I keep doing, I'd set my security to a level that inconveniences only me.
Solved, case closed.
