Hello all... Can i somehow when restoring automatically(windows) set a hostname based on MAC address?, so i am doing 5 restores at once using same image, so hostname stays the same on all laptops afterwards. How can i make the hostnames unique? But do it automatically? Also the same for the product key?
Thanks

Re: Set hostname by mac address(windows)
One way is to just sysprep the system prior to creating the image and let it
run mini setup.
But if you want to automate, you could use TBScript to change the host name.
Actually, you may be interested in looking in to the osdtool.tbs and/or
tbidtool.tbs script. The TBOSDT manual has information on those script
which have a "ComputerName" field you can use.
