My computer uses win10
I used win10 update in Settings to insure I had current updates, and made a image file of the entire drive. Fast Startup was turned off. An earlier windows update had turned Fast Startup on.
Within a day or so, I restored to a separate hard drive and used that drive.
The desktop looked ok, but there seemed to be much more hard drive activity - looking at the drive activity indicator on the front panel of the computer. There were times when the drive was running continuously, making it difficult to complete other operations, like shutting down.
Web protection on Malwarebytes was turned off, and I was unable to turn it on. I made a scan, and nothing bad was found.
I returned to my normal drive, Malwarebytes web protection was on, and drive activity was much less.
The IFL boot flash drive was made years ago, the latest folder/file dates are 3/27/14.
Any suggestions?
