TBW/PE bootable on 3TB drive?

Typically using TBW for imaging my Windows 7 and 10 machines to an external backup drive, I've historically created a small 512MB partition on the external drive and install TBW and Windows PE so I can do a ground-up boot and restore my images to an "empty" drive if necessary. On the external drive, I then create a single partition on the balance of the drive for all of my Image Files. I'm not a serious hard drive geek but I know on Windows there is a roughly 2TB limitation to the partition size I can create on the data/target partition. When I try to do this on a 3TB drive, it IS bootable, and DOES work, but it leaves about 769 GB of unused space (the space beyond the Windows limit) that I cannot access. Is there any way around this (possibly formatting as exFAT or something similar)? Is there a Knowledge Base write-up on this or a forum thread I've missed? If so, can someone point me to it. Thanks in advance for any assistance or clarification.

Does it matter if your system is 32 bit or 64 bit?
It might.

Assuming the BIOS and disk supports it, you should be able to make it work as a GPT disk. Create a small FAT32 partition (512MB, 1GB, etc.) and copy over all the TBWinRE files. If you have created a UFD it would be those files. Or, you can create a build and copy over the contents of the ISO folder. Boot the disk as UEFI.

If that doesn't work you could try using an EFI System partition instead of a normal FAT32 partition. For example, you could copy over the EFI System partition of your GPT Windows installation (select the option to change the GUID), then delete any existing contents and copy over the TBWinRE files.
