I'm trying to create a bootable usb thumb drive but I see several programs that can create a boot disk. I'm creating my windows using version 3.06a. Which do I want
create tbos boot disk
create uefi boot disk
ifd-create recovery boot disk
ifl-create recovery boot disk
ifu-create recovery boot disk
ifw-create recover boot disk
usbboot-make windows on USB Bootable
create recovery usb boot

It's hard to give a definitive answer. Some, I know nothing about. Some I think you don't want. Of the others, any or all should be OK.
create tbos boot disk - I'm not familiar with this and don't know where you are seeing it.
create uefi boot disk - I'm not familiar with this and don't know where you are seeing it.
ifd-create recovery boot disk - Creates bootable IFD (Image for DOS) - Should be OK.
ifl-create recovery boot disk - Creates bootable IFL (Imaage for Linux) - Should be OK.
ifu-create recovery boot disk - I've never been successful with this. See viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2568
ifw-create recover boot disk - Creates bootable media based on Windows Recovery Environment and containing IFW (Image for Windows) - Should be OK, but may or may not be successful in creating the bootable media depending on lots of issues and dependencies.
usbboot-make windows on USB Bootable - I don't know what this is.
It sounds like you are just getting involved in all this. For starters, I'd recommend either "ifd-create recovery boot disk" or "ifl-create recovery boot disk".
Either should be fine. IFL is generally recognized to create or restore an image faster than IFD though it does take a little longer to boot.
