Is my impression correct that restoring a "clean" IFW image is a way to recover a PC infected with ransomware?
thanks

Yes. I've used System Restore on a couple of occasions when my cousin's kids went somewhere they shouldn't have.

Thank you. I did not know if "ransomware" was designed to thwart IFW restoration, and if so, what might be the workaround.

Not sure what would happen to any installed drives (USB, SD cards, etc.)
outside of Windows in case of Ransomeware.
I got an email from Malwarebytes about some major attacks yesterday.
