Is this possible

Hi,

Is it possible to extract a backup of a single OS from a backup
containing many OSs? The only other way of achieving the same result
is to restore the OS and then back it up.

if you put them all in the same partition then if you restore the partition,
you restore the partition. You'd have to use something like tbimount or
tbiview to extract files. Normally you'd want to put each os in its own
partition so they are all separate.

DrT,

If you didn't want to restore the selected OS to a HD you could restore it to a Virtual Drive and then create a partition image of the partition in the Virtual Drive. Then delete the Virtual Drive.

you can restore just a single partition if needed.

I know. All I wanted to do was to keep a single OS/partition from an
old backup series and delete the rest to get some space back. Seems
the easiest way will be to restore the OS and then back it up
separately.
