Consistent b-f-b failures on changes-only backups

Lately, I've been able to consistently do full backups with no issues at all, but changes-only backups consistently give b-f-b failures.

I've tried all the familiar fixes. I'm wondering if somehow the fact that I recently encrypted the destination drive with Bitlocker could be a cause. I have no idea why it would, or in particular why it would impact only changes-only backups, though.

Nothing else has changed except that I've installed the God-forsaken Win10 Anniversary Update.

SSD source, 4-TB HDD dest.

Forgot to mention I've so far only tried VSS.

what ssd drive? those without DRAT and Win10AU seem to have more issues.
Win10 must allocate a lot more items that are not written for its temp
files.

It's a Samsung 840 Pro, which is from early 2013.

you'd have to check if it supports DRAT or not, depends on the firmware
version and model. Some PRO's do, the 830's support DRAT.

I just ran a changes-only backup with "Disable Trim" enabled (previously, I never had that option enabled), and it completed without issue. Not sure if this was just a coincidence.
