Product Key activation steps

This seems like a real noob question, but how does one activate their licence for Image for Windows? When I launch the program for the first time I am prompted to enter my Name and Product Key. The field for the product key is only 29 characters, but the product key I was mailed when I purchased the software is 69 characters long.
Also, I saw in another post that this license is only good for 3 PC's. I happen to have four PC's, so if I decide to stop backing up one of the original 3, do I need to "unregister" it so I can get that third license back to use on my other PC?
