Success! I found no problems in the bios so decided to go ahead and delete the Win8 partition. That did the trick. On the next boot, BING was activated and came up with the usual options. I was then able to make the Win8 Data partition active to Win7 so I could get any data from it before deleting it or merging it with the partition I had "borrowed" it from. There were also disk errors on the Win8 Data partition when I booted that were fixed (I think) by the chkdsk that runs before Windows boots. I would caution people to be very careful trying out Windows 8, as I have seen other people report disk corruption while using it.

Up the page (Monday) TB Support posted this......

I am not familiar with "HYBRID BOOT". Could you explain what it is? Is is a BootitNG option or an option in Windows 8?

JoRene41,

It's part of Windows 8....

http://www.ghacks.net/2011/04/17/windows-8-gets-hybrid-boot/

One portion relative to BiNG/BIBM, is this.....

"Multi-boot computer users will notice a downside of Hybrid Boot: The
boot manager of the system is not displayed if Windows 8 was shut down
with Hybrid Boot enabled.

That’s why there is an option to disable Hybrid Boot in Windows 8. The
feature can be disabled in the Control Panel under Power Options."
