FAT 32 to NTFS conversion failed

My intention was to convert the 19,51 GB FAT 32 Volume "MISC" (H:) (cf. Attachments 1 and 2) to NTFS.
I first opened BIBM Work with Partitions and started the Align function in order to prepare the conversion.
I tried the command line "h: /fs:ntfs" without and with the parameters /x and /v in Win7, in Win7 Safe Mode and in TBWinRE. All of them resulted in an error message containing the following reason (translated from German): "Error converting the directory DIRPRI~1. The directory is either damaged or there is not enough memory space." (cf. Attachment 3).
Therefore I tried chkdsk /f. It did not find any errors. The conversion thereafter again failed.
So I decided to increase the available space. Since Volume H: has 53 % Free Space I resized my Win7 from 90 to 100 GB resulting in 28 % Free Space here. The conversion again failed with the same error message.
The verbose mode showed the statistics after about 15 minutes, thereafter it tried to convert for about 5 minutes. The result was again the above error message referring to the same directory. Could this be a question of permission settings?
At this stage I decided to try the conversion of another Volume "PC (P:)". Its size is only 7,38 GB with 22 % Free Space according to Win7 Disk Management. Whereas the BIBM Align function unexpectedly completed immediately for H: (without error message!?) it took about 5 minutes for P:. The command line "h: /fs:ntfs /x" completed successfully.
What can I do now to also successfully complete the conversion of Volume (H:)?
