BIU does not see all RAID Volumes

Post by RossB »

I run a 2 TB RAID-1 Array with two Volumes as shown below.

Both RAID-1 Volumes have two MBR primary partitions each for local document storage. I hide or show these partitions depending on the operating system I am booting.

BIU is only showing me a drive (and partitions) for Volume_0000. I do not see a drive or partitions for Volume_0001 in Boot Edit, Partition Work, or Image for UEFI. This prevents me from showing and hiding the partitions on Volume_0001. I also cannot create a backup image of Volume_0001 with Image for UEFI.

Hard Drive 0 in the picture below is my NVMe boot drive. Hard Drive 1 is RAID Volume_0000. BIU does not detect any other drives, so Volume_0001 is unavailable for configuration.

I am able to see both RAID-1 Volumes and all four MBR partitions when I boot Windows 10.

I did not have this issue with BIBM and Legacy BIOS. Is this a known issue with BIU?

It gets the list of drives by querying UEFI for them. They should be providing emulated views of the drive and not the physical drive itself, what size is reported on the HD1 shown, is ith the 1863GB or 367 GB ?

It shows Volume_0000 as 367 GB.

I just switched my system back to Legacy BIOS, MBR, and BIBM. The BIBM utilities show both RAID-1 Volumes (pictured below).

Are there any solutions to this issue? I see all RAID volumes when I boot UEFI/GPT Windows and I see all RAID volumes in my UEFI BIOS screens.

This is the only problem that is preventing me from making a full time switch to UEFI. UEFI BIOS screens shown below.

Ross,

Can you try changing Fast Boot from Ultra Fast to Disabled. Does that allow BIU to see the RAID volumes?

I disabled Fast Boot and it didn't resolve the issue.
