Can you use Bootit uefi from flashdrive without installing to harddrive to format an external drive

I am trying out Bootit uefi and would prefer not to install to my hard drive at this time. Can I use it from the created flash drive to format an external hard drive?

You can use Partition Work, IFU, etc. from the boot media without installing BIU. Just cancel on the install prompt to enter maintenance mode. Regarding formatting an external drive, the drive would need to be properly supported by the BIOS and show up in BIU and you would need to use a supported format. You could also create a partition without formatting and then format it in whichever OS you're using.
