Using BING dvd's to restore to an external drive

Hi. 15 years ago--yep, 2006 according to the date stamp--I used BING to back up my hard drive onto DVD's. Now, after these many years, I would like to search these DVD's for some files relative to my late wife. Maybe I could use these to recreate that hard drive onto a USB-connected external hard drive? If so, how? Maybe it's also possible to manually search through these, it's a half-dozen DVD's or so. But making a "new" hard drive onto the USB-connected hard drive would be more convenient if my daughter wants to help look at them too.

Thanks!

Well so much for restoring a whole drive, at least one of my DVD's isn't readable (after years of storage, who woulda thunk?) However, if there's an easy way to peer inside the BINGDCDI files, at least maybe my daughter and I could go through them.
