Cannot update to BIBM v1.63

Post by TonyMarston »

I have a PC which I am trying to upgrade BIBM from 1.60 to 1.63, but it fails with the message "Unable to install EMBRLL" followed by "Unable to copy file EMBRL". Attached are 3 screenshots.

My system is as follows:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.6GHz
Disk #1 - ADATA SU800 (OS is Windows10a)
Disk #2 - Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 (OS is Windows10b)
Disk #3 - Toshiba HDWD110

I have copies of Widows 10 on two disks so that I can switch between then should one become corrupted.

Hello,

It's either the source is corrupt / can't be read / BIOS bug accessing
full drive size or the target drive first track can't be written (which
shouldn't be the case since you already installed). The latest
versions on CD uses HD emulation rather than FDD emulation so some
BIOSes don't work as well. Try using a UFD if you were using a CD/DVD.

BINGO! Changing the installation media from CD to UFD did the trick. Many Thanks.
