Probably simplified:

BIBM works on older PCs having traditional BIOS or newer UEFI firmware but booting in legacy or compatibility mode.

BootIt UEFI (BIU) works or should work on UEFI systems not booting in legacy or compatibility mode.

BIU seems to work well on some (newer?) systems, but seems not to work too well om some early and/or low end UEFI systems.

Thanks, maybe simplified but good for me!
Does Image for Windows work on an UEFI system?
edit: I mean: how do I restore without Image for UEFI ??
Thanks, Paul

IFW works on both UEFI and Legacy systems. For which boot media works on UEFI, see this KB article:

Correct, you could restore with IFL. You could also restore with IFW in TBWinRE/PE. IFU is included with IFW, but many systems, especially older ones, don't have good UEFI support so using IFL or TBWinRE is usually better.
