I just installed Boot-It bare metal 1.48. The mouse has started behaving strangely. When I move it vertically,it also moves sideways all by itself. With great patience I am able to use it. My mouse is a Tree Frog sold by London Drugs here in Canada. I think it is just using the MS driver. Unfortunately, I am not sure if The tree frog worked ok on the previous version. I am referring to running in the boot-time code.

This is a long-standing limitation in BIBM's support for USB devices. There is no solution. The workarounds are:

(1) Use a mouse with the old PS/2 connection or the even older serial connection (if your system has the appropriate socket).

(2) Use the keyboard to navigate the BIBM panels. In particular, use TAB_FORWARD and TAB_BACKWARD to skip through the fields, and UP_ARROW and DOWN_ARROW to move the focus between alternatives for a field. Use SPACEBAR to select/deselect an option, and ENTER/RETURN to start an action.

As much as I love BIBM, having to use the keyboard to navigate the panels is a cumbersome workaround.

I use an older version of IFL and my mouse (wireless) works.

Mouse support in BIBM relies on your BIOS. You'll find that some mice that
work on one system may not work on another. That's all due to if the BIOS
can handle the mouse properly.

But you don't need to use a mouse to move around efficiently. I don't use
one most of the time because it's so much faster using the keyboard. Some of
