BootIt purchases from 1/1/2018 on will include both BIBM and BIU. BIBM for
legacy boot systems and OS and BIU for UEFI OS booting. They are currently
distinct different environments that each product works in. Intel is
planning on dropping CSM support 2020, it will be up to individual mobo
companies to provide the legacy support.

I am still not clear on something. Will BIU work on legacy systems too
or do I need to use BIBM on those.

I do have some UEFI systems her so will buy it. I would even if I did
not need it at the moment to support TBU. I do not do that sort of
thing for any other company.

BIU only runs on UEFI so you'd need BIBM for non UEFI mode.

I would bet that BIBM requires installation on a MBR formatted hard drive, and the new BIU will require installation on a GPT formatted drive and unique system partition.
I think UEFI operation requires GPT and Legacy the other. It will be very interesting to see how compatible and interoperable BIBM and BIU are. I hope that BIU supports TBOS scripting, imaging, and partitioning and that I do not have to change all my scripts …. (too much!).

Should be fun, and should let us use some new UEFI capabilities. I can't wait.

Plans change, it would be too much of a rush to force out June 1. It will be released in June 2018.

You already can check if your TBOS scripts work under UEFI by using tbosdt.efi.

Since I discovered that IfL is five times faster than IfD (included in
BIBM), I always use IfL. I wish that could be included instead of IfD
or maybe it would be possible for two versions of BIBM/BIU? I can but
dream ;-).

BootIt Collection which contains BootIt UEFI is now available. There may be
some kinks on the website and order process to work out, if you see
anything, please report it.

For general information on the upgrade see

I cannot seem to find a way to get a current BIBM user discount to
Boot UEFI. I do not want to purchase the collection as I already have
all those products anyway.

How can I proceed?
